Movies as a resource for learning English

One of the best ways to improve your understanding of the English language is by watching movies. Movies are not only entertaining, but they can also provide you with common colloquial phrases, expressions, and contextual vocabulary and grammar.

Tips on watching movies

  • Watch the movies with English subtitles.
  • Watch all movies in the same accent (American, British, Australian, etc.).
  • If you really enjoy a movie, watch it more than once. Repetition is key when learning a language.
